Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of meegly.tv and the video chat service behind it ("Meegly", "we", "us"). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

You must be 18 or older. You confirm your age before your first chat, and by continuing you represent that the confirmation was truthful.

You must not use Meegly if a previous account or device of yours has been banned, or if the law where you are prohibits services of this kind.

You can use Meegly anonymously. An account exists only to hold your hearts and passes so they survive a new device, and is created by signing in with Google.

An account belongs to one person. You are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping access to the Google account behind it secure.

Meegly connects you by live video and text with strangers. Video and audio flow directly between participants wherever possible; we relay only the connection setup, and a third-party relay carries the call when a direct route is impossible.

We never record video or audio. Messages are kept only when someone reports a chat.

Who you are matched with is not guaranteed, and neither is the availability of the service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time.

You must not use Meegly to do any of the following:

• Show nudity or sexual content, or perform sexual acts on camera.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk or intimidate anyone.
• Involve anyone under 18, or present yourself as a minor.
• Record, screenshot or redistribute another participant without their consent.
• Advertise, spam, solicit money, or run a scam of any kind.
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Do anything illegal, or attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

Anyone can report a chat. Reports from several distinct people ban the reported device automatically, and a single credible report of a suspected minor bans immediately. We may also ban at our discretion where conduct warrants it.

Bans apply to the device and, where you are signed in, to the account, so they follow you across devices. Repeat bans last longer than earlier ones. A ban may void unused passes and hearts without refund.

If you believe a ban was wrong, write to [email protected]. Every enforcement decision is logged, so we can review what happened and reverse it if we got it wrong.

Hearts are a virtual in-service currency. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between users, exchanged for money, or withdrawn, and confer no ownership of any kind.

Hearts are granted by us or bought. A call costs hearts per minute of its length, deducted when it ends; a balance never goes below zero. Passes bought with hearts activate immediately and last for the stated period.

We may change what things cost and how hearts are granted. We will not reduce hearts already in your balance.

Purchases are processed by Razorpay, priced in Indian Rupees, and inclusive of GST. We never see or store your card details.

Because passes activate immediately and hearts are credited on payment, purchases are final except where the law requires otherwise. If a payment fails, is charged twice, or hearts do not arrive, write to [email protected] and we will put it right.

For a GST invoice, write to [email protected] quoting the invoice number shown on your purchases page.

Meegly, its name, logo, and the software behind it belong to us. These Terms give you permission to use the service, not any rights in it.

What you say and show in a chat remains yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to transmit it to the other participants, and to retain reported messages as described in the Privacy Policy.

Meegly is provided as-is. We do not pre-screen who you are matched with, and chats are unmoderated until somebody reports them. You may encounter people who behave badly, and you use the service at your own risk.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, and we make no promise about the conduct or identity of any other participant.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from the conduct of another participant.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be waived.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, or where we are required to by law.

You may stop using Meegly at any time, and may ask us to delete your account as set out in the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. Complaints about nudity, sexual content, or someone impersonating another person are acted on within 24 hours. Meegly is operated from India; for grievance-redressal purposes under the Information Technology Rules, write to the same address.

We may update these Terms. When we do we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Meegly after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
