Most problems have a two-minute fix. Pick the thing that is going wrong. If it is not here, write to us and a person will answer.
Camera and mic
Nine out of ten of these are a browser permission.
“Camera access is blocked”
Your browser said no when Meegly asked. Allow it and reload:
- Chrome and Edge: click the lock or camera icon at the left of the address bar, set Camera and Microphone to Allow, reload the page.
- Safari on iPhone: tap the “AA” or page icon in the address bar, choose Website Settings, allow Camera and Microphone.
- Safari on Mac: Safari menu, Settings for meegly.tv, allow Camera and Microphone.
- Firefox: click the camera icon in the address bar, clear the blocked permission, reload and choose Allow.
- Android: if the browser has no camera permission at all, open Settings, Apps, your browser, Permissions, and allow Camera and Microphone.
“No camera found”
Nothing on this device is offering a camera. Another app may be using it, a laptop camera may be switched off with a key or slider, or the browser may be in a mode that hides devices. Close other video apps, check the physical switch, and reload.
The camera is on but shows black
Usually another tab or app has the camera. Close video calls in other tabs, then toggle the camera button at the bottom of the screen off and on.
Finding people
We are new. The queue is thin at quiet hours and busiest in the evening, Indian time.
“Finding you someone” goes on and on
We are new, and at quiet hours the queue is thin. Stay on the page; we keep looking and you keep your place. Evenings, Indian time, are busiest.
If you have a filter on, it may be the thing holding you back. When that happens we say so and offer to drop it. Dropping a filter only adds people; it never resets your wait.
I keep meeting the same person
We hold recent partners apart for a while, but with very few people online the same face can come round again. That is the queue being small, not a bug.
During a call
Video goes straight between the two of you, which is why the network matters so much.
“Connecting…” never finishes
Video travels directly between the two of you. Some networks, especially office or college Wi-Fi, block that. Try mobile data, or a different network. If it works there, the first network is the problem.
The connection dropped
A short blip does not end a call: we hold your seat for a few seconds and bring you back. If it does not recover, the call ends and you are billed only for the minutes you actually had.
Their video was hidden
Your browser’s guard thought the incoming stream was explicit and covered it. You choose: report and skip, or show it if the guard got it wrong. Nothing from that check leaves your device.
Hearts and payments
One heart is one minute. Anything under a minute is free, and the bill never takes you below zero.
I paid and the hearts did not arrive
Payments usually land within seconds. If yours has not after a few minutes, write to [email protected] with the time, the amount and the email on your account. We check the payment record and credit you.
I was charged twice
Write to [email protected] with both times and amounts. Duplicates are refunded to the original payment method.
The bill after a call looks wrong
A call costs one heart per full minute, counted from when you both connected until it ended. Under a minute is free. The bill never takes you below zero. If the numbers still do not add up, tell us the approximate time of the call.
I need a GST invoice
Your Purchases page shows an invoice number for every top-up. Write to [email protected] quoting it.
Accounts and bans
Signing in is optional, moves your hearts once, and never gives you a profile.
Google sign-in does nothing
Pop-ups may be blocked. Allow pop-ups for meegly.tv and try again, or use the browser’s own tab rather than an in-app browser inside another app.
My hearts did not move to my account
A browser’s hearts move to an account only when that account is first created, together with the 100-heart bonus. Signing in later on another browser leaves that browser’s hearts where they are. This is deliberate; it is what stops heart farming by clearing cookies.
“Your device is blocked”
Several different people reported you within a day, or one credible person reported something serious. Bans start at a day and double each time. If you believe it was wrong, write to [email protected]. Every decision is logged and can be reversed.
Delete my account and data
Write to [email protected] from the email on your account. We acknowledge within 24 hours and delete within 15 days.
Still stuck?
One address reaches a person: [email protected]. We acknowledge every message within 24 hours. Tell us what you were doing and roughly when, and we can usually find it.
